Associate Professor and Department Chair of Behavior Analysis Gretchen Dittrich has received the Beth Sulzer-Azaroff Award for Distinguished Teaching from BABAT (Massachusetts Professionals in Behavior Analysis). The award recognizes educators who continue the legacy of Beth Sulzer-Azaroff (1929–2022), a psychologist and breakthrough scholar of behavior analysis, with whom Dittrich once had the opportunity to collaborate.
Per BABAT’s website, “Dr. Dittrich has dedicated her career to advancing behavior analytic education through innovative instruction, mentorship, and a deep commitment to student success.”
As Dittrich reflects, “It’s an enormous honor. To be recognized for teaching, which is something I’m so passionate about. It is incredibly humbling.”
