Graduate Health Sciences (Behavior Analysis, Nursing, Nutrition, Physical Therapy and Public Health)

When choosing a graduate program, you should not only consider the cost, but also expected return on your investment. At Simmons, you’ll reap the rewards of your investment from day one, including faculty mentors committed to your success, state-of-the art learning facilities, and a strong alumni network to help you as you launch and further your career in the health sciences.

Merit Scholarships

We believe exceptional academic preparation and hard work should be rewarded, so while we offer financing through graduate federal loans, we also offer competitive merit-based scholarships. All applicants for graduate degree programs will be considered for merit scholarships at the time of admission. Scholarships are limited and are based on the strength of a candidate's application. No separate scholarship application is required.

Accepted students may defer their enrollment for one academic year but the scholarship does not automatically carry forward to the future term of enrollment. Students will be re-considered for a scholarship, and the new award amount may be different from the original award depending upon the competitiveness of the new applicant pool. Awards are canceled if a student withdraws, takes a leave of absence or is academically dismissed from the program.

Assistantships

Assistantships for accepted on-campus graduate health sciences students are determined after a student has been enrolled. Stipends are merit-based and depend on faculty needs and individual student skills.

Note: Scholarships and assistantships alone will not cover the entire cost of tuition or other educational expenses.

Financial Aid low-interest loans are available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

City Year and Americorps Partnership Discounts

Simmons University values City Year and Americorps for its impact on communities and its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. City Year and Americorps members, alumnae/i and staff benefit from at least 25% total tuition for all on-campus graduate health science programs.

Limited application fee waivers are available for Direct Entry and Doctor of Physical Therapy applicants. Please email [email protected] to inquire about an application fee waiver.

Applicants must self-identify their City Year or Americorps employment in their application, resume or essay. Applicants must request employment verification from City Year or Americorps which needs to be submitted by the application deadline date.

Awards are designed for City Year or Americorps members or alumni who have had at least one year of service or a City Year staff member employed for at least two years.
