Graduate Health Sciences (Behavior Analysis, Nursing, Nutrition and Physical Therapy)

Merit Scholarships

All graduate health science applicants will be considered for merit scholarships. Scholarships are limited and are based on the strength of a candidate's application. Scholarships are not guaranteed for all programs and will not cover the full cost of tuition. Scholarships can range from $10,000 to $65,000 (for the entire program) and it is important to note that ranges differ based on the program length and total credits. No separate application is required for these competitive awards. Selected students will be informed of such awards in their letters of admission.

Accepted students may defer their enrollment for one academic year but the scholarship does not automatically carry forward to the future term of enrollment. Students will be re-considered. The new award amount may be different from the original award depending upon the competitiveness of the new applicant pool. Awards are canceled if a student withdraws, takes a leave of absence or is academically dismissed from the program.

Master of Science in Nutrition and Health Promotion

Admissible applicants applying to the stand alone Master of Science in Nutrition and Health Promotion program (on-campus or online) will receive a guaranteed scholarship of $10,000.

Assistantships

Assistantships for accepted on-campus graduate health sciences students are determined after a student has been enrolled. Stipends are merit-based and depend on faculty needs and individual student skills.

Note: Scholarships and assistantships alone will not cover the entire cost of tuition or other educational expenses.

Financial Aid low-interest loans are available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Awards are designed for City Year or Americorps members or alumni who have had at least one year of service or a City Year staff member employed for at least two years.

Double Shark

Simmons is excited to announce the launch of the Double Shark Scholarship! Simmons alumni with a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree will be automatically awarded the Double Shark Scholarship when enrolling into an eligible Simmons graduate degree or certificate program. Following admission, your scholarship letter will detail the significant savings you will receive — up to 20% tuition savings — when you return to Simmons for a second degree.

There is no special application required for the Double Shark Scholarship. Students matriculating into a graduate program beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year are eligible for the award, and it cannot be applied retroactively.
