BSW Class of 2015 Pinning Ceremony

May 07, 2015

To celebrate their many accomplishments and formally welcome them into the social work profession, the 2015 BSW graduating class participated in the programs first pinning ceremony on Wednesday, May 6th, 2015. Denise Hildreth, Associate Professor of Practice and BSW Program Director, along with Allyson Livingstone, Associate Professor of Practice and Director of Field Education for BSW, proudly introduced each student into the profession and distributed the ceremonial pins. Kathy Lopes, LICSW and Coordinator for Academic Services at the School of Social Work delivered a wonderful keynote address. Larissa Pienkowski and Elizabeth Thomson, both members of the 2015 BSW graduating class, addressed their peers with poignantly crafted words that undoubtedly inspired their class to go out and continue to build upon the strong social work foundation they received while at Simmons.

The evening was a great success and truly showcased the many accomplishments of not only the students but the Directors as well. Congratulations and best of luck to all of you!
