Jenna Tinsley

Jenna works in SNHS Admissions. She answered a few questions!

Where are you from? Where did you go to college?

I grew up in Hyannis, MA on Cape Cod. I graduated from Simmons with a BA in arts administration and I’m currently a graduate student in the MBA program at Simmons.

What's your favorite thing about Simmons and School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS)?

The people. It's so cool to be able to come back to Simmons now as an employee and still feel that same support from my peers that I felt as a student. I also love being back in the Fenway area and think it's an amazing place to go to school. There are so many things and places right outside your door!

What's your favorite part of your job?

I love traveling, meeting students face-to-face and helping them decide their next career move or graduate school.

What should students look for when choosing a college?

I always recommend students come to campus and sit in on a class or meet with faculty and current students to get a feel for the community.

If we visited your office, what would we see?

Pictures of family and friends, a great view of quad, one plant I’ve managed to keep alive and multiple color-coded calendars!

What's your favorite thing to do in Boston?

I love finding fun roof tops in Boston where you can hang out with friends and enjoy the view of the city.

What music are you currently listening to?

I danced ballet for over twenty years of my life and performed in the Nutcracker too many times to count, so as soon as cool weather hits, I am listening to the Nutcracker soundtrack.

What's your favorite movie?

Gladiator and Remember the Titans — I can never choose one!

Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?

Reese Witherspoon. She has the ability to be both fun and serious. I also hope I look as great as her when I’m her age!

What's your favorite local lunch?

My new favorite in Fenway is Saloniki, you can’t go wrong with Greek food!

What's your dream vacation?

Definitely traveling to Italy. I’d love to be fully immersed in all the history while also eating all the Italian food I can and touring vineyards.
