From infectious diseases to malnutrition, our modern world faces a myriad of complex challenges — you can be part of the solution.

You'll investigate current issues — from biotechnology to genetically modified foods — and cultivate conceptual foundations for analyzing the interplay between science, society and health. Our students evaluate the national and international politics influencing nutrition and health policies.

Our students complete the accelerated BS/MS program in five years, receiving a bachelor's degree in nutrition and a master's degree in nutrition and health promotion. Graduates find success as researchers, community health workers, health program managers, personal trainers, public health planners and more.

Program Requirements

This program allows students interested in nutrition to obtain a BS in Nutrition and an MS in Nutrition and Health Promotion in an accelerated five-year program. Students may apply to the program during their second semester junior year. Working with their academic advisor, students will take two SNHS courses, usually SNHS 410 Research Methods and SNHS 450 The Health Care System: Interdisciplinary Perspectives during the fall and spring of senior year.
