We are proud to welcome Carol Steinberg, Jessica Kensky, Patrick Downes and Will Lautzenheiser to Simmons for our first 2015/16 Friars Leaders Program speaker series panel. Carol Steinberg is an attorney specializing in disability employment cases, a member of the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board, president of the Disability Law Center, and writes on accessibility for the Boston Globe. She will be joined by Jessica Kensky and Patrick Downes, who were both injured in the Boston marathon bombing and received special permission from the Department of Defense to be treated at the Walter Reed National Military Center, where they have spent the last year. They are advocates and activists for Wounded Warriors. Will Lautzenheiser will also join the panel, offering his unique perspective as a filmmaker turned comedian and disability advocate after becoming a quadrilateral amputee in 2011.

Please Note:

This event is open to the Simmons College community. If you're not a Simmons student, alumna/us, faculty or staff member and would like to attend, please contact us to see if space is available.
