Naming Opportunities

Around campus, you will see a history of philanthropy at work at Simmons College. Alumnae/i and friends can make gifts that are important to them and have their name, or the name of loved ones, designated to public spaces, endowed student, faculty, or program funds, academic centers, and capital projects.

FACULTY ENDOWMENTS

Faculty Chairs

  • $5 million – Prestigious College-wide Chair
  • $3 million – Professorship
  • $1.5 million – Associate Professorship

STUDENT FINANCIAL AID

Scholarships and Fellowships

  • $1 million – Founder's Scholarship Program. Provides in perpetuity tuition assistance to a cohort of named scholars.
  • $100,000 – Minimum endowment to create in perpetuity a named scholarship fund for undergraduate or graduate student(s) based on need and/or merit.

ACADEMIC CENTERS AND PROGRAMS

Opportunities exist at various levels to support specific positions and initiatives within centers (e.g. directorships, fellowships), such as the Center for Excellence in Teaching.

  • $2.5 million – will endow a directorship.
  • $100,000 – Minimum endowment to name a fund in support of programs or research.

CAMPUS AND BUILDINGS

Campus Endowment and Capital Gifts

  • $100,000 – will endow and name a fund in support of maintenance and improvement of the physical-plant.
  • $250,000-$3 million – will allow for the naming and enhancement of campus buildings, classrooms, foyers, and meeting spaces.
