COVID-19 Related Extenuating Circumstances

We recognize the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many unforeseen circumstances that may impact your ability to live on campus, or to attend Simmons at all, for Fall 2020. As such, we have added a section of our Housing Withdrawal Request form to reflect these extenuating circumstances. If this applies to you, we encourage you to fill out the additional section at the bottom of the form so that our Housing Committee can review your request in light of these circumstances.

If you are interested in living off campus or will be graduating, studying abroad, or taking a leave of absence you must complete the withdrawal form. If you withdraw from housing prior to the advertised deadlines, your housing deposit refund will be mailed to the address you have on file with AARC 6-8 weeks after the end of the semester. Please make sure your address is up to date. If you withdraw after the deadline, your housing deposit will be forfeited. Fill out the 2020-2021 withdrawal form here.

Students going on Study Abroad, Domestic Exchange, or Transferring

You must fill out the 2020-2021 housing withdrawal request form to inform the Office of Residence Life of your intentions. If you will not be notified of your acceptance into a program or school until after the deadline, please still fill out the form and select "pending" as the reason for withdrawal.

Taking a Leave of Absence, Withdrawing, or Graduating from Simmons

You must fill out the 2020-2021 housing withdrawal request form to inform the Office of Residence Life of your intentions. Only then will you have your housing deposit placed on hold or be eligible to receive a refund on the deposit. If you are graduating in December, you must also fill out the withdrawal form by the deadline in order to receive a refund on your $250 deposit.
