At this annual event, representatives from the Career Education Center present workshops on job-seeking skills for social workers, and  a panel of social work executives from leading area employers discuss current job trends in social work and offer job search tips and advice.

Learn how to prepare a professional resume and cover letter customized for social work. Ensure these marketing tools demonstrate how you fit the key requirements of a job, and increase your chances for an interview. Topics covered include building accomplishment statements, resume and cover letter format and content.

Learn how to use valuable on-line resources and personal contacts to conduct career research and make good career decisions. Topics covered include online research tools, and networking through informational interviews, professional organizations and online social media.

Interviewing for Social Workers

Understand how to effectively manage the interview process, and how "research, preparation and practice" are key to developing your confidence. Learn about different types of interviews, how to prepare, and how to respond to traditional and behavioral interview questions.
