Sarah Neill assumed the role of Dean for Student Life in June 2009, having served as the Associate Dean of Student Life for 11 years. As associate dean, she played a leading role in matters pertaining to student health and wellness across the College and has presented at regional and national conferences on related topics. Prior to her tenure at Simmons, Neill served as assistant dean at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and has additional student affairs experience working at Smith College and Lesley and Bentley Universities. For the past two years, Neill has chaired the New England Associate Student Affairs Think Tank, comprised of deans from a range of colleges and universities from the New England region. She also is the recipient of the 2004 Award for Professional Excellence from the Massachusetts Association for Women in Education. Neill holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an M.A. from Harvard University.
