Simmons Leadership Conference 2019
Now in its 40th year, the Simmons Leadership Conference remains the nation's premier one-day professional development event for women—a don't-miss experience that motivates, educates, and empowers leaders at every stage of their careers.
The theme of the 2019 conference, Designing Success, focuses on the need for constant adaptation and reinvention in our increasingly fast-paced world. As always, this year's program brings a diverse range of exceptional women leaders to the podium, each with her own fascinating story about defining her own measure of success and, by example, inspiring others to do the same. Among the featured speakers are Julia Gillard, who faced down tremendous hostility as Australia's first female prime minister and now works on the global stage to advance the education of women leaders; actor and activist Laverne Cox who, as a transgender person of color, has earned a long list of firsts for her achievements in the entertainment industry; and world-ranked squash player Maria Toorpakai Wazir, who spent her early years training, competing, and living as a boy to escape the notice of the oppressive Taliban regime in her native Pakistan.
In addition to these compelling presentations, panel discussions, signature dialogues, and skill-building workshops, book-signings, visit the corporate marketplace, enjoy a delicious lunch, and network with some of the 3,400 aspiring women who attend the conference from companies and organizations around the world.
The Simmons Leadership Conference—a one-day investment in yourself that pays off all year!
All proceeds support scholarships for students in graduate programs at Simmons University.
