Graduate Ceremonies

Our Graduate Commencement will be held in two separate ceremonies on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston’s Seaport District. The Doctoral Hooding will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m. at the Simmons University Sports Center.

Doctoral Hooding

We will hold a doctoral hooding (Ph.D., D.P.T., D.N.P., and D.S.W. students) on Thursday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m. on the residence campus at the Simmons University Sports Center Gymnasium, 331 Brookline Avenue.

May 20, 2022

All master’s and doctoral students who complete their programs between July 2021 and May 2022 will be invited to this ceremony.  Guest tickets are not required at Simmons Commencement; to ensure that all graduates' guests are accommodated, we request that graduates invite up to four guests only.

Graduate Ceremony for the Gwen Ifill College of Media, Arts, and Humanities, College of Organizational, Computational, and Information Sciences, and College of Social Sciences, Policy, and Practice

The Ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Doors open for students and guests at 12:00pm. All participants must check in by 12:30 p.m.

Graduate Ceremony for the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences

The Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Doors open for students at 3:30pm. Doors open for guests at 3:45 p.m. Students must check in by 4:00pm.
