Book Talk with Lilian Thuram

The Simmons University Department of History invites you to a book talk with the author of "White Thinking," Lilian Thuram. Thuram was a world renowned professional soccer player from 1991 to 2008. He holds the record for the most selections on France’s national team and has been a member of an impressive number of championship squads.

As a part of his personal commitment to combat prejudice and advance equality, he established the Lilian Thuram Foundation for education against racism in 2008.

His book "My Black Stars, From Lucy to Barack Obama" received the Seligmann prize against racism in 2010. It was published in English in June 2021. In October 2020, he published La "Pensee Blanche" or "White Thinking" in France and Canada. It was translated into Italian by Add Editore and into English by Hero Press in October 2021.
