Fit at Simmons Weekly Events

The goal of Fit at Simmons is to provide students the opportunity to actively engage in and try a unique fitness-based activity each week. Weekly activities typically run for 45 - 60 minutes. Most are held every Thursday from 7- 8pm at the Sports Holmes Center on the Residence Campus, unless otherwise specified. Some of the exciting activities planned for the semester include a spin class, zumba, pilates, insanity workout and more. Events are free and individuals of all fitness abilities are encouraged to participate. Spring 2014 weekly events start Thursday, January 30, 2014.

Spring 2014 Weekly Events

April 17 - Slacklining

Slacklining workouts often attract yogis and daredevils looking for some thrill-seeking fun. This sound like you? Megan Ludgate, daredevil extraordinaire and Health Education Wellness Ambassador teaches this class. Meets outside on the residence campus quad.

April 24 - Bollywood

Bollywood dancing is one of the hottest dances around! The dances are a fusion of traditional and classical Indian dances with the influence of some jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. This class is taught by Simmons student Deepa Kumarjiguda. Meets in the dance studio on the first floor of the Holmes Sports Center.
