About Me

Vanessa Reyes received her Ph.D. from Simmons SLIS in 2016. She holds an M.S. in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University and a B.A. in English from Florida International University. While a student, she worked at public libraries, special collections and archives, and at the State Library and Archives of Florida in Tallahassee. Her background inspired her to pursue research in preservation, digital libraries, and archives. Reyes intends to work closely on research that analyzes personal digital collections, so as to understand how they are created, managed, and made accessible. She is also interested in how students and professors use personal digital information.
