Kelly Anderson is the director of the Archives Concentration at Smith College. She lectures for Smith's history department as well as for the Study of Women & Gender. She has a master's in women’s history from Sarah Lawrence College and a doctorate from the CUNY Graduate Center. Her teaching and research interests include women and social change, the history of sexuality, feminism and oral history.
Anderson is an oral historian in special collections. Her oral history projects include Voices of Feminism, Documenting Lesbian Lives, An Activist Life, Smith College Alumnae Oral History Project and the Social Work Archives Oral History Project. She is currently working on a book project titled “I Wanted it Like a Lover, I Wanted it Like Justice,” which looks at the leadership of the gender and sexual liberation movements over the last four decades.
