About Me

Jo Trigilio received their Ph.D. in Philosophy with a concentration in Feminist Theory from the University of Oregon. Professor Trigilio has a special interest in the intersection of theory and practice. They specialize in oppression/liberation theories, including feminist and gender theories, race theories, and queer theory.

They are politically active in the queer community of Boston. Professor Trigilio has served on the board of directors for the National Women's and Gender Studies Association for six years. Trigilio was elected and served as the 2018 Boston Pride Marshal. They are currently leading The Boston Dyke March History and Archive Project.
