Jeannine Atkins writes books about history for children and teens, including Aani and the Tree Huggers (Lee and Low) and Borrowed Names: Poems about Laura Ingalls Wilder, Madam C. J. Walker, Marie Curie and Their Daughters (Holt). She’s taught Verse Novels, Narrative Poetry and Writing I in the MFA program at Simmons. She also teaches a course in Children’s Literature at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Her most recent book is Views from a Window Seat: Thoughts on Writing and Life.
