Jason Wood is the University Archivist and Deputy Director in the Simmons University Library. He is a 2001 graduate of the SLIS program and also holds a Masters of Science in Communications Management from Simmons. A member of New England Archivists and the Society of American Archivists, Wood currently teaches LIS442: Establishing Archives and Manuscript Programs; and LIS456: Records Management as an adjunct faculty member.
At the Simmons University Archives, Wood is responsible for acquiring, maintaining, and making available institutional records of permanent value, manuscript collections, and special collections, while collaborating with faculty and students to develop learning activities focused on the use of primary sources. He also ensures that the University's records and information resources are managed effectively and in compliance with all industry guidelines and best practices.
