About Me

Daniel Paquette has almost 20 years of experience working in public libraries, in communities ranging from small to large. He is currently the director of the Westfield Athenaeum in Westfield, Massachusetts, where he is currently overseeing a major building renovation project and capital campaign. Prior to his position in Westfield, he was the Director of the Lee Public Library. Before becoming a library director he focused on providing services to children, teens, and families as a Children’s Librarian and Head of Youth Services in Westfield and Springfield. Daniel Paquette received his Master's in Library and Information Science from Simmons University in 2004 and also has a BS in Accounting from UMASS-Amherst. He is also highly involved in the Massachusetts library community as the current President of CWMARS, a member of the Massachusetts e-Book steering committee, and on the board of the Western Massachusetts Library Advocates.
