Here are some of the activities that can be arranged for your individual visit.
The Campus Tour
Time: about 1 hour
Tours are led by Simmons student ambassadors, who will answer your questions about everything from academic demands and social activities, to what it's like to attend a women's college or intern with a professional organization. Tours start at the admission office in the Main College Building and include the College Center equipped with Internet stations, Trustman Art Gallery, Beatley Library, the residence halls, Bartol Dining Hall, and the Holmes Sports Center.
The College Interview
While Simmons doesn't require an interview for admission, we do encourage you to schedule one. It's the best way for you to get to know Simmons, and for us to get to know you.
Classroom and Faculty Visits
Academic life is taken seriously at Simmons. The best way to get a sense for it is to sit in on a class. See what it's like to study in a college where women are expected and encouraged to voice their opinions. Tell us what subjects interest you and we'll arrange for you to attend a class. If you wish, we'll also set up a personal meeting with a faculty member, so you can discuss your intended area of study and learn about programs at Simmons.
Financial aid interview
Financial aid is an important component in the college decision-making process
for many prospective students. You can meet with one of our financial aid
counselors to learn more about financial aid at Simmons. Contact Student
Financial Services directly at 617-521-2001 to arrange a meeting.
Athletics and Co-Curricular Activities
Want to row on the crew team? Sing with the Simmons Sirens? Participate in community service projects? We can arrange for you to meet with athletics coaches, program directors, and students who are involved in activities that interest you.
Overnight Stays
Have you been wondering what it's like to live in a residence hall? How
you'll manage your new time schedule? Whether there's a social life at a
women's college? An overnight stay will give you a chance to experience
college life firsthand and get answers that only another student can give.
