Sociology of Childhood

4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: SOCI 101. Examines sociological knowledge about children, including the social construction of childhood, social structures that affect children's lives, and the implications of these social factors for individual children. Comparisons will be made with other societies to help students understand children's lives in U.
