The panelists assembled in Kotzen (pictured from left): Amb. William M. Bellamy; Omer Ismail, Senior Policy Advisor of the Enough Project and a Visiting Fellow at the Kennedy School; Dan Connell, Simmons Senior Lecturer; Jason Matus, South Sudan Coordinator of AECOM. Among the questions asked and topics discussed: What went wrong and what were some of the contributing factors? Was South Sudan ready for independence? Is the latest ceasefire holding? Is the mediation on the part of the community working? What is the role of outsiders and civil society in South Sudan? How can we fix this? President Drinan and nearly 50 students, faculty, staff, members of the community and interested scholars attended.
