Materials Modeling

2 sem. hrs. Provides a hands-on introduction to the use of computer methods for discovery and assessment of novel materials. Teaches the use of a variety of molecular and materials modeling software and presents the principles, benefits, and pitfalls associated with this approach to the study of materials. Emphasizes modeling projects and genuine research applications of computer modeling.
