About
Jean Christoffersen joined the Simmons faculty as a full-time member in 2004. Prior to that, she had taught as a clinical adjunct instructor. Her research interests include educating the second degree accelerated nursing student and global health. Jean has co-led Simmons SNHS study abroad programs in Nicaragua.
Jean is certified as a psychiatric mental health clinical nurse specialist. In addition to coordinating a psychiatric-mental health course, Jean practices at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she is part of the psychiatric consultation-liaison team. In that capacity, she mainly provides psychiatric consultation in the emergency department.
