Sidelines Submissions

"The theme for this year's submissions is 'Home.' The meaning of this can be completely up to your interpretation. We are accepting many types of submissions, including but not limited to:

  • Poetry
  • Prose
  • Photography
  • Paintings
  • Drawings
  • Graffiti
  • Digital art & typography
  • Lyrical prose
  • Essays
  • Fiction
  • Non-fiction
  • Memoir
  • Cross-genre

Submission guidelines:

Sidelines is committed to creating a space in which Simmons students are comfortable in sharing their work with the community. Therefore, please take the following guidelines into consideration when submitting:

  • Do not include your name or any other identifying information on the file or title, as we review pieces under blind submission
  • All written pieces must be a maximum of 1000 words
  • There is no limit to the number of pieces you submit
  • You must have full publishing rights for your piece(s)
  • Previously published pieces are accepted as long as you retain rights
  • to your piece(s), and the name of the original publication must be included in your submission
  • You will continue to have full rights to your piece(s) after publication in Sidelines, but in the case of future publication, please be sure to note Sidelines as the original publisher Publication in Sidelines is not guaranteed

Submissions will be accepted until midnight, Monday, November 4, 2013.
