Public Economics
4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: ECON 100. Analyzes government spending and taxes at the national, state, and local level. Topics include growth in government, the future of the income tax in the U.S., expenditure programs for the poor, financing health care and education, the Social Security system, and the relationship among various local, state, and federal governments.
