International Monetary Systems
4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: ECON 100 and 101. Introduces students to international monetary theory and policy. Examines the history and political economy of international monetary systems, the behavior of international financial markets, the balance of payments, exchange rates, international debt problems, and the role of the International Monetary Fund. Emphasizes current events throughout the course.
