Computer Org. & Architecture

4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: CS 112 or equivalent or consent of the instructor. Studies the structure and function of computer hardware, with an emphasis on performance. Includes history of computers, information representation, hardware components and their functions, buses, internal and external memory, input/output, CPU, and instruction sets.
