Living in a Digital Society

4 sem. hrs. Teaches the skills and concepts needed to use, understand, and evaluate information technologies. Students will learn to use current technology confidently, and will know how to effectively adapt to inevitable changes. Word, image, and sound processing; spreadsheet and database applications, search techniques; and web design as well as the social ramifications of technology are explored. Students gain an understanding of computer hardware and networks in order to make informed purchasing, configuration, installation and maintenance decisions.
