4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: COMM 122. Immerses students into journalism by covering community issues and events ranging from local and national politics to entertainment and sports. Teaches how to identify news values and make news judgments, as well as acquire notetaking and interviewing skills, understand media ethics and law, and develop news writing techniques.
