On February 26, an unarmed 17 years
old Trayvon Martin, wearing a hoodie in
the rain was shot to death in Sandford
Florida. To facilitate the Simmons
College Community coming together
around this tragedy, on one hand to
pay homage to a life cut short, but more
importantly to draw attention to the
continuing problems of race in this
country and to be in solidarity with our
colleagues and students who are also
confronted and live with these issues
on a daily basis,Wednesday, April 4
has been chosen
as
"Hoodie Day
at Simmons ".
Wear a hoodie
to honor Trayvon.
