Farewell Sarah Burrows

It has been a bitter-sweet time in the Department of Communications. One of our most valued members is moving on. We took time to be joyous in celebrating Sarah Burrows' many contributions.
"Hello all,
I cannot say enough how much I appreciated my party. I loved every bit of the attention (as you might imagine) and was truly touched. You have been wonderful colleagues and smart, dedicated, creative people to be around. I will miss our Department, our students and all the great projects and initiatives I have been able to work on for the last 12 years. Yup, 36 semesters, over 1,300 students
(between interns, studio 5 and advisees), 5 1/2 Commtracks, over 100 studio 5 clients/projects, 100+ internship orientations, hundreds of site visits, countless placement conferences...the details are unimportant. What is important is that I have enjoyed almost every encounter, every challenge and every opportunity. I can only hope that I have 75% of that batting average at Lasell. I am trying to be a grown up and focus on the positive. I plan to go and learn some new teaching skills, meet some new colleagues, build a few good programs, maybe pursue a doctorate. After that, who knows. If my brain is in tact, you may see my tall frame walking these hallways again.
Always,
Sarah Burrows"
