Simmons College emphasizes hands-on preparation for the world of work and advanced study. Our Chemistry programs and facilities are designed to help students build competence and confidence as professionals.

Components of this approach are extensive, hands-on contact with modern equipment, hands-on research experience, individual student laboratory carrels for chemistry-related majors, easy access to the faculty, and our Boston location affording opportunities for additional laboratory work in hospital and other labs. The Chemistry Department has an award winning Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society.
