4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: NUTR 111 or NUTR 112. Provides current nutrition information that is applicable to individuals involved with sports, exercise, and/or personal physical activity. Provides an overview of how nutrition and physical activity reduce the risk of chronic disease, how macro and micronutrients affect energy metabolism and athletic performance, and how food delivers the fuel for optimal performance.
