Intro Mus Early Roman to Pres

4 sem. hrs. Surveys multicultural trends and innovations that occurred in international music from early Romanticism to contemporary music. Emphasizes listening to and understanding a wide variety of music. Topics include the influence of non- Western cultures, such as African and Asiatic, on international music; works of women composers; and ragtime, jazz, and musical theater.
