State of the Arts
4 sem. hrs. Studies cultural organizations, their functions, and their role in a changing society. Instruction emphasizes 'backstage' and 'firsthand' exposure to visual and performing arts organizations through site visits, guest lecturers, readings, and discussion. Topics include the multicultural arena, public art, and the management of visual and performing arts institutions.
