David graduated from Bard College in 1994. He has painted scenery for plays and motion pictures including Spider-man, Mystic River and The Fighter. His most recent work in the film industry is represented by the three Boston-sports-themed velvet Jesus paintings seen in The Heat, which is currently in theaters. He is also a ukulele player, "self-taught through the productive use of procrastination."
