To Formally Drop a Course
Complete an add/drop form and return to the Registrar's Office in C-116, or via fax at 617-521-3144. Make sure to get all necessary signatures before submitting.
Policies for Dropping a Course
Drop the course from your schedule on Simmons Connection using AARC
For most courses, this is the last day for a full refund.*
|5/13/13 thru 5/24/13||
Complete an add/drop form and return to the Registrar's Office. Undergraduates need their advisor's signature on the form.
The dropped course will not appear on your transcript.
|5/25/13 thru 5/31/13||
Undergraduate students must complete an add/drop form and obtain both the instructor's signature AND their advisor's signature on the form.
Graduate students can have their instructor email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
All students receive a grade of "W" for withdrawing from the course after 5/24/13 (but before 5/31/13).
Undergraduate students must complete an add/drop form and also complete a Petition to the Administrative Board, including signatures of the instructor and advisor (form can be obtained in the Registrar's Office).
CAS, SHS and GSLIS graduate students must obtain the signature of their course instructor AND program director on an add/drop form, and return to the Office of the Registrar or sent via email: email@example.com.
All students receive a grade of "F" for withdrawing from the course after the May 31st deadline.
Non-attendance in a class does not constitute withdrawal. Make sure you formally drop the course.
