Play Therapy: Theroy & Tech.

SW566: Play Therapy: Theory and Techniques This class is an introduction to a variety of theories and principles of play therapy. Case material, including student's own material will be used. Readings, videos, case discussions, and experiential activities will be used to deepen the student's understanding of theory and technique. Students will be encouraged to gain comfort in their work with children and to explore their own theoretical orientation. Upon completion, students will have a clear foundation from which to treat children of all ages. Prerequisite is SW421B. This course meets the requirement for a clinical practice elective.
