Residence Halls

Simmons's nine residence halls, Bartol Dining Hall, the Holmes Sports Center and the campus health center are all located on the Simmons Residence Campus a short walk from the main campus.  All first-year students are required to live on-campus.

1023 Beacon
  • Beautiful brownstone residence building located in a vibrant section of Brookline.
  • 15 minute walk to academic campus and a 12 minute walk to Bartol Hall. It is also 15 minutes to academic campus by the 47 Bus.
  • Contains a single, doubles and triples
Arnold Hall
  • Houses a mix of sophomores, juniors and seniors
  • Contains singles, doubles, and triples
  • Has an elevator
  • Close to dining hall
  • TV lounge, kitchens, computer lab and laundry
  • Renovated in 2003
Dix Hall
  • Houses a mix of sophomores and juniors
  • Contains doubles and triples
  • Kitchens, lounges, laundry and vending
  • Renovated in 1999, kitchens renovated in 2012, 1st floor lounge renovated in 2016
Evans Hall
  • Upper class residence space
  • Suite style singles, doubles, triples, and quads with private bathroom and common room
  • Renovated in 2000
  • Has an elevator
  • Close to the dining hall
  • Kitchens, lounges, laundry and vending
Mesick Hall
  • Houses first year and sophomore students
  • Home to the Foodie Floor
  • Contains doubles and one quad
  • Smart classroom
  • Kitchens, computer lab, laundry and vending
  • Renovated in 2010
Morse Hall
  • Houses first year students
  • Home to the Arts Floor
  • Contains doubles and expanded occupancy triples
  • Piano, laundry, large living room, kitchens and vending
  • Renovated in summer 2012, 1st and 4th floor lounges renovated in 2016
North Hall
  • Contains single and double rooms
  • Home to the Arts and Activism community on floors 1 and 2
  • Floors 3, 4, and 5 are mixed communities and class levels
  • Public kitchen, piano, TV room, living room, fireplace, study room, laundry, computer lab and vending
  • New furniture and carpet in commons spaces summer 2011
Park Drive Apartments
  • The Park Drive Apartments will not be available for 2017-2018
Simmons Hall
  • Houses first year and sophomore students
  • Home to the Sports Pride Floor and Substance Free community
  • Contains doubles and expanded occupancy triples
  • Has an elevator
  • Largest community
  • Large updated living room with TV, piano, laundry, computer lab, vending machines, and kitchens
  • Renovated in 2011 and 2012
Smith Hall
  • Upper class residence
  • Suite style singles, doubles, quads, and quints with private bathroom and common room
  • Renovated in 2004
  • Has an elevator
  • Houses the mailroom, prayer room, music room and Quadside Café
  • Kitchen, laundry and vending
South Hall
  • Wellness & Substance Free Community
  • Is home to all class levels
  • Contains singles, doubles, and triples
  • Is close to Holmes Sports Center
  • Boasts an open family feel and strong sense of community
  • Has laundry facilities, a large living room, piano, fireplace, study rooms, TV, and vending machines
  • New furniture in summer 2011
The Townhouses
  • The Park Drive Townhouses are a quick 7 minute walk to Simmons academic campus.
  • Seniors and Juniors are able to request the Townhouses on Housing Selection nights.
  • Two apartment types: two person doubles and three person (double and single bedrooms) apartments.
  • Furnished with a bed, desk, dresser, chair, and a dining table in the common area.
  • Cooking supplies are provided for the kitchens.
