Simmons is a prominent member of Boston's social work community. Our partnerships with Massachusetts General Hospital, Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and the Judge Baker Guidance Center date back to the early part of the 20th century. We currently collaborate with DSS, the Home for Little Wanderers, Boston Public Schools, Massachusetts Council of Human Services, Salem State Child Welfare Institute, and numerous other organizations. Nearly 300 field sites — including schools, child welfare agencies, hospitals, community health centers, and mental-health programs — provide opportunities for SSW students to develop clinical experience. Our partners also serve as employers for Simmons graduates.

Approximately 30 percent of Simmons social work students are offered jobs by at least one of their internship sites.
