I completed my MSW at Simmons in 1987. Having an MSW has allowed me to have a rich and varied work life over the past 23 years.  Most of my experience has been in community mental health settings as a clinician providing services to families, couples, adolescents and children.  I have had a particular interest in working with immigrant Latino families dealing with reunification issues.  For the past six years I was the Clinical Director of The Family Center Inc. Much of my interest and energy in that role were devoted to developing a culture that was consistent with strength based and collaborative practice values, and creating and sustaining relationships that supported organizational diversity.

From 1996-2000 I worked at Boston University School of Social Work as a Field Education Coordinator. In that role I enjoyed having contact with students working with them to clarify their interests identify placements that would move them closer to their goals. I also enjoyed having a "bird’s eye view" of the profession and maintaining relationships with agencies providing a wide range of services in the field. I am now returning to that role, and look forward to renewing old relationships and developing new ones.
