Daniel Beck, M.S.W., LICSW

Daniel Beck joined the adjunct faculty at Simmons SSW in 2010 to teach Cognitive Behavioral Approaches & Treatments.  Mr. Beck received his M.S.W from Smith College School for Social Work in 1995, completed a two-year Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cognitive Therapy and Research Program in 1997 and became a Founding Fellow of The Academy of Cognitive Therapy in 1998.  He has worked as a research clinician on several CBT research projects including ones at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard School of Public Health and Brigham and Women's Hospital.  He currently divides his time between private practice, supervision and teaching.  Some areas of particular interest to Mr. Beck include CBT for severe mental illness, dissemination of CBT knowledge and training to community mental health settings and promotion of Social Work to various CBT professional organizations.
