Simmons College School of Social Work

Currently, when not teaching Assessment and Diagnosis and occasionally, HBSE or clinical practice at Simmons, Leslie Bass teaches Assessment and Diagnosis and Clinical Practice at BC School of Social Work. Additionally, she has a 20 hour per week private practice in Stoneham, MA where she sees clients and offers private supervision and consultation.

Ms. Bass earned an undergraduate degree in English literature and seven years later, after a year as a VISTA volunteer and several years teaching junior high English, she earned her M.S.W. from Boston University. Since then, she has worked on inpatient medical and inpatient psychiatric units, as well as outpatient psychiatric services. Ms. Bass has been a geriatric consultant to a nursing home, covered an emergency room on weekends and worked in several community mental health agencies. In 1990 she earned her MBA from Simmons.
