Kate Audette, M.S.W.

Kathryn "Kate" Audette obtained her Masters in Social Work from Salem State University. Kate is also a graduate of the Suffolk University Initiative for Diversity and Civic Leadership Program (IDCL) and has completed studies at Suffolk in Community Health Management and Advanced Health Care Finance.

Currently, Kate is the Director of State Government Relations at Boston Children's Hospital where she provides strategic oversight and leadership of the hospital's state policy advocacy agenda on child health priorities as well as hospital financial and regulatory affairs. Previously, Kate has served as the Senior Policy Analyst at Harbor Health Services, Inc. and prior to that as the Government Relations & Political Action Associate at the National Association of Social Worker's MA Chapter. Kate currently serves as the Second Vice President of the Board of Directors and Co-Chair of Political Action for Candidate Election or PACE for NASW-MA.

Kate began her teaching career at the Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work in 2010 and in 2014 helped to design online course content in the area of social action for social workers.

Additionally, Kate's clinical social work background includes having served for four years as a Program Coordinator for a therapeutic activity program at Riverside Community Care and clinical intern experience at the Cambridge Area office of the Department of Social Services as a service coordinator for The Cambridge Guidance Center and the Massachusetts General Hospital as a pediatric hematology, oncology social worker. In her spare time, Kate travels several times a year to Camp Sunshine, in Casco Maine, where she works with children with life threatening illness and their families.
