Adjunct Faculty

Janice Wagner, M.S.W., LICSW

Janice Wagner spent the early part of her career working in Child Welfare and Criminal Justice in administrative, clinical and supervisory roles. For the past twenty plus years she has worked at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in the Behavioral Health Department as a clinical social worker working with adults in individual, couples and group therapy. Additionally she maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Boston. She has also been in an adjunct faculty role at Boston University School of Social Work as a faculty field advisor since 1996.

Janice has a particular interest in studying groups and social systems in the Tavistock Tradition and for the past ten years she has been a member of the Center for the Study of Groups and Social Systems (CSGSS), and the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Groups and Social Systems. Janice recently ended her term on the Board of Directors of the CSGSS as Board President in June 2010. She has worked as a ‘consultant’ and trainer to small and large groups within the context of experiential Group Relations conferences and workshops in the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Ms Wagner received her Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School of Social Work in 1982 and later received a certificate from a three year post graduate clinical fellowship program in 1991 from the Boston Institute for Psychotherapy.
