Julie Ogletree, M.S.W., LICSW

Julie Ogletree has worked with adults, families and adolescents throughout her social work career. She received her M.S.W. from Simmons in 1990. She practiced in community mental health centers in Dorchester and Somerville from 1991-2002, working primarily with adults and families. In 2002, she moved to Everett House, an intensive residential treatment program for mentally ill children and adolescents funded by the Department of Mental Health, as a therapist, and later, clinical director. When this program closed in 2007, Julie became the middle school social worker at The Gifford School, a therapeutic day school in Weston, MA for children and adolescents with special needs. Throughout her career, Julie has acted as a field instructor for social work students from various Boston area social work and counseling programs. Ever a student, Julie has taken post -graduate training in narrative therapy, family treatment, child and adolescent treatment, dialectical behavioral treatment and adoption issues. She rejoined Simmons as a field advisor in the fall of 2010.
