Tom Mecsas-Faxon began teaching as an adjunct faculty member for Simmons SSW in 2002, where he has taught the social work practice year-long course. Mr. Mecsas-Faxon served as the founder and program director for The Home for Little Wanderers Safe-at-Home Program (SAH) from 1993 through 2007. The SAH program is an innovative home-based therapy program, based upon strength-based, wraparound principles and features many narrative family therapy techniques. Since 2007, he has served as the program director of Bayview Associates, the largest outpatient clinic at South Shore Mental Health. This clinic serves children, families and adults residing on the South Shore. Mr. Mecsas-Faxon received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his M.S.W. from Simmons SSW in 1990.
