Stephanie Mancini, M.S.W., LICSW

Stephanie received her M.S.W. from Boston University and has worked in clinical practice for eleven years in Rhode Island. She began her career working at a community mental health center in an intensive home-based treatment program for children and adolescents who were in foster care, in the process of adoption, or at-risk for psychiatric hospitalization or residential placement. She has also worked as a school social worker, as well as a clinical day treatment therapist in a public school setting. Currently she is the clinical director and clinician in a practice which specializes in the outpatient treatment of children adolescents, young adults and families with various needs. Stephanie is also a doctoral student Simmons SSW. Her research interests are currently focused on school social work intervention and consultation for students with emotional disturbances/behavior disorders. She also works on the Katrina Project at Simmons College with Johnnie Hamilton-Mason. This is a qualitative research project which is exploring the experiences of Black women during Hurricane Katrina.
